WHAT DOES PASSOVER MEAN TO ME?
KOSHER STORES
All Kosher designated stores must be aware of the importance of Passover.
A lot of extra business depends on your awareness.
You need to make sure certain shelves are stocked correctly.
GROCERY
All Passover products need to be ordered and displayed (not with Non Passover products -
Non Passover products should be stored away until after Passover or put on a shelf far away
from the Passover stock).
WINES
Kosher wines are an important purchase at Passover
Ceremonial and Table Wines are used.
DAIRY
Margarines, Cheese, Yoghurts and Milk.
BREAD
Bread sales will fall just before and during the week of Passover.
Matzos are bought instead.
CHILLED
Herrings, Smoked Salmon, Cucumber and Olives
MEAT
Kosher Chickens and Turkeys will sell well for Passover
EGGS
Every person for two Seder nights eats an egg in salt water
PLANTS
Plants and Flowers are bought as presents
FRUIT AND VEGETABLES
The week before Passover extra fruit and vegetables will be sold for
the special Passover meals.
EXTRA CROCKERY
Utensils, pots and pans will be bought—all used just for Passover.
