BRC ACCREDITED

The BRC Global Standard was developed by the British Retail Consortium in co-operation with food manufacturers, certification bodies and UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service).   The standard was developed to assist purchasers of food products in their legal obligations, and in the protection of the consumer, by providing a common basis for the certification of companies packing and processing food and beverage products.

The BRC Global Standard is an approved brand-marked standard to the Global Safety Initiative, providing international recognition for the standard, and the reports and certificates generated by accredited certification bodies using this standard.

Rakusen's Limited is always striving to achieve improved quality and working practices and the BRC Standard has been chosen as a vehicle whereby this can be achieved.

Our first audit saw us achieving a Higher Grade Award.  This reflected the effort and commitment of both the Management and the staff. 

During 2005 the BRC Standard was revised and standards were tightened even further.   Continued hard work and commitment saw us achieving an  'A' Grade (Highest Grade) at our second audit.

We are not content to sit on our laurels and we fully expect to maintain this high standard through continuous improvement.
